HYPEROPIA (FARSIGHTEDNESS)

When light focuses behind the retina, this refractive error is known as hyperopia or far-sightedness.  Someone with hyperopia will have difficulty focusing on near objects.  With hyperopia, the eyeball is shorter than a normal eye.

To correct this eye problem, our surgeons will use precise custom maps of the surface of your eye and an excimer laser to reshape the cornea.  This then allows light rays to focus directly onto the retina for a clear vision.

We will determine, based on your examination, a customized solution to improve your vision.  All you have to do is come in for a free consultation.
